A Beginner's Guide to Pour-Over Brewing
Elena Ruiz, Head Roaster June 19, 2026
Pour-over brewing highlights the clarity and nuance of a coffee's origin. Start with a 1:16 coffee-to-water ratio, water just off the boil (around 205°F), and a slow, circular pour in stages. Bloom the grounds for 30 seconds before your main pour to release trapped CO2 for a more even extraction.
